The Harrison Town Office and Transfer Station will be closed on
Monday, February 17th for the President's Day Holiday.

The Harrison Educational Options Committee has designed a survey
to gather insights on how the community of Harrison, Maine views
their school in terms of educational opportunities, social connections,
economic factors, and overall community well-being. This survey is
intended to be anonymous but the committee plans to share the
 
 
REMINDER- LICENSE YOUR DOGS before February 1st to avoid the $25 per dog state late fee for renewals!
 
WINTER PARKING BAN – is in effect until April 15,
parking on all public streets, roads, and parking lots is prohibited during
snowstorms. Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
This is being done to facilitate the plowing of snow.

* SAND * SAND * SAND 
It’s that time of year to remind residents who need sand; that you are
limited to two 5-gallon pails of sand from the Transfer Station
when they are open. This sand is for your walkways and steps.
DO NOT fill your pick-up truck in order to sand your private road and driveway.

The Proper Procedure if involved in Car vs Deer accident: Call 9-1-1,
**if the Sheriff’s Department is involved, they will handle the injured or deceased deer. *
If you come upon a deceased deer, please call the non-emergency number of Cumberland County Dispatch (207) 893-2810 option 2
.  ** Dispatch will notify local or state public works for retrieval of the deer.
* NOTE * If the incident happened on the weekend and is not a road hazard, it may take until the next business day for retrieval.
