Transfer Station

The Town of Harrison operates a Transfer Station for waste disposal and recycling services. Annual Transfer Station stickers are required and can be obtained at either the Transfer Station or the Town Office. Each household is allowed two stickers, valid for the calendar year.

 Hours & Closures

The Transfer Station is closed on all observed holidays. Please plan accordingly.

 Payments Accepted

The Transfer Station accepts cash, checks, and credit cards. (Please note: a convenience fee applies to credit card payments.)

 Recycling Program
Harrison participates in single-sort recycling through EcoMaine. The more we recycle, the less trash we haul—and the more the town saves. It’s important to recycle correctly.

Winter Sand Access
Residents may collect up to two (2) 5-gallon pails of sand per visit from the Transfer Station or outside the Public Works Facility, during open hours. This sand is for walkways and steps only.
Do not fill pickup trucks or use sand to treat private roads or driveways.
