Central Maine Power – Tree Care Work in Harrison (2026)
The Town of Harrison has been notified by Central Maine Power (CMP) that qualified tree care crews will be conducting vegetation management work in Harrison during 2026.
Tree-related damage is a leading cause of power outages in Maine, particularly during storms. As part of CMP’s ongoing efforts to provide safe and reliable electric service, contractors will be pruning and removing trees, brush, and other vegetation located within public rights-of-way near electrical lines.
CMP hires only qualified contractors trained in techniques sanctioned by the Tree Care Industry Association.
What Residents Should Know:
-
Work will occur within public rights-of-way.
-
Property owners adjacent to public roads have the right to consult with CMP prior to routine work.
-
If trees pose an immediate hazard to safety or service reliability, emergency work may be performed without prior consultation.
