Dog Licensing

All dogs six months and older must be licensed. If you become the owner of a dog six months or older, you are required to obtain a license within 10 days.

To obtain a license, owners must present a current State of Maine Rabies Certificate issued by a veterinarian. This certificate verifies that the dog has received a rabies vaccination within the past two years.

All dog licenses expire December 31st of each year. Don’t delay in registering or renewing your dog’s license!

For questions, please contact the Harrison Clerk’s Office at (207) 583-2241.
