Select Board

The Town’s governing body responsible for setting policy, overseeing municipal operations, and representing the interests of Harrison residents. The Select Board also serves as the Board of Assessors.

Planning Board

Reviews and approves land use applications, subdivisions, and site plans to ensure development aligns with Harrison’s ordinances and comprehensive plan.

Board of Assessors

Comprised of the Select Board, this board determines the fair valuation of all real and personal property to ensure equitable taxation within the Town.

Appeals Board

Hears and decides appeals related to decisions made by the Code Enforcement Officer or Planning Board, ensuring that all town ordinances are applied fairly and consistently.

Budget Committee

Reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations on the Town’s annual budget to promote fiscal responsibility and transparent use of public funds.

Comprehensive Plan Committee

Guides the process of updating Harrison’s Comprehensive Plan — a blueprint for the Town’s long-term growth, development, and community goals.

Harrison Educational Options Committee

Researches and evaluates educational partnerships and options to help residents make informed decisions about the future of Harrison’s school affiliations.

Lake Region Television - Video Archives

Provides public access to recorded Select Board meetings and other local government broadcasts, helping keep residents informed and connected.
